A very fine Italian vintage mid century modern designer chandelier attributed to Gaetano Sciolari . Having innovative mid century design typical of the very high end 1960s/1970s Italian designer lighting with stylized crystal glass inserts set into alternating branches with eight bulbs pointed down and four bulbs pointed up for a dramatic and compelling effect ( clear or frosted bulbs can be inserted in any combination on the upper or lower sockets ) . In all original condition ( minor tarnishing /wear on chrome consistent with age for an authentic vintage mid century look ) acquired from a New York gold coast Long Island estate with Edward Wormley vladmir kagan Evans finn Juhl Silas seandel Herman Miller and knoll Eames furnishings.
