A French pair of 19th century carved wooden plaque three-light wall sconces. This antique pair of sconces from France have been fashioned from 19th carved-wood fragments (in a scrolling foliate motif) and arms, which have been more recently mounted on a rectangular-shaped wooden plaque. Each sconce has three metal arms, connected together at the back plaque and swooping outward in separation, terminating into the wooden bobèches with short candles lights at their center. The bronze/gold toned fragments are complimented with the plaques having a hand-painted faux marble finish in reddish-brown hues with gold veining, gold about the inner trim, and a faux-marble green finish on the outer framed edge. The lights have been re-wired for the US. These French 19th century fragment-mounted candle sconces will be an attractive lighting addition to your home and are nicely-sized at just under 3 feet in height.
